Refund and Cancellation Policy

Last updated: April 2026

Shree Guru Jambeshwar Sewa Sansthan (SGJSS) (“SGJSS”) is a charitable non-profit organisation registered in India. Contributions received through our website, sgjss.org, directly support our programmes in education, health, agriculture, women empowerment, and community development. To ensure that donated funds are deployed promptly and responsibly, SGJSS follows a strict refund and cancellation policy, summarised below.

1. All Donations Are Final and Non-Refundable

Once a donation has been successfully made to SGJSS, it is treated as final and non-refundable. Donated funds are allocated to ongoing programme activities, beneficiary services, operational costs, and compliance obligations, and cannot be reversed from those commitments once received.

By completing a donation on our website, you acknowledge and agree that the contribution is made voluntarily and that no claim for refund, whether in whole or in part, shall ordinarily be entertained.

2. Donations Cannot Be Cancelled After Processing

Once a donation has been processed by our payment gateway and the transaction is marked successful, it cannot be cancelled. This applies to all modes of payment — credit card, debit card, UPI, net banking, QR code, or any other online method offered on the website.

If you wish to stop or modify a recurring (monthly) donation that you may have set up, please contact us as early as possible. We will make reasonable efforts to prevent future deductions, but cannot reverse amounts already charged.

3. Please Verify Details Before Confirming

We request all donors to carefully verify the following before confirming their payment:

  • Donation amount — make sure the figure entered is correct.
  • Donor name and PAN — required for accurate 80G tax-exemption receipts.
  • Email address and phone number — used to send confirmation and receipts.
  • Purpose or campaign (if specified) — make sure the correct programme is selected.
  • Frequency — one-time or recurring, as intended.

Reviewing these details at the checkout step is the simplest way to avoid situations where a refund would otherwise be considered.

4. Exceptional Circumstances

In rare and clearly demonstrable cases — such as a duplicate transaction caused by a technical error, an incorrect amount charged by the payment gateway, or a fraudulent transaction made without the cardholder’s consent — SGJSS will review refund requests on a case-by-case basis. To request a review:

  • Contact us within 7 working days of the transaction.
  • Provide the transaction reference number, date and amount of the donation, and a clear explanation of the issue.
  • Share supporting documentation where applicable (for example, bank statement showing the duplicate debit).

If the refund is approved, it will be credited back to the original payment method within a reasonable timeframe, subject to the processing time of the payment gateway and the issuing bank. SGJSS reserves the right to deduct any payment-gateway or transaction charges that are not refundable to us.

5. Receipts and Acknowledgement

A payment confirmation is generated automatically by the payment gateway upon a successful transaction. An official donation receipt, along with the 80G tax-exemption acknowledgement (where applicable), is issued by SGJSS to the email address you provide. If you do not receive your receipt within a reasonable period, please contact us and we will resend it.
